What We Believe
At Faith Apostolic Tabernacle, we believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is our foundation for faith, doctrine, and daily living. We believe God's Word provides truth, direction, and hope for every generation.
The One True God
We believe there is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), the Creator of heaven and earth and all living things. God revealed Himself as Father in creation, as the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Ghost dwelling within His Children. We believe Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16) and that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him (Colossians 2:9).
Salvation
We believe salvation is found only through Jesus Christ and His finished work on Calvary. The biblical plan of salvation is clearly taught in Acts 2:38 and includes:
Repentance
Repentance is commanded by God (Acts 17:30). John the Baptist preached repentance (Matthew 3:1-2), Jesus proclaimed it (Matthew 4:17), and the apostles continued to preach it throughout the New Testament (Acts 2:38). Repentance is more than feeling sorrow for sin—it is a change of heart, mind, and direction that leads us closer to God. Jesus said, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
Baptism in Jesus' Name
We believe water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ is for the remission of sins and is an important part of God's plan of salvation. Following the example of the New Testament church, we baptize in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Baptism of the Holy Ghost
We believe the baptism of the Holy Ghost is available today and is essential in God's plan of salvation. Jesus taught that we must be born of the Spirit to enter the Kingdom of God (John 3:5). The Holy Ghost empowers us to live for God and draw closer to Him each day. We believe the initial biblical evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:46).
Holiness
We believe a lifestyle of holiness is taught and commanded throughout Scripture (Hebrews 12:14; Titus 2:11-12; 1 Peter 1:15-16). Because God is holy, He calls His people to pursue righteousness, holiness, and moral purity in every area of life. Godly living should be evident in the life of every Christian as we seek to follow the example and teachings found in the Word of God.
Divine Healing
We believe Jesus Christ is the healer and that divine healing is provided through His atoning sacrifice. We believe in the power of prayer, the laying on of hands, and trusting God to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs according to His will.
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is coming again in bodily form, just as He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:11).
Scripture declares, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
We believe the return of Christ is drawing near. As we see wars, rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, natural disasters, and unrest throughout the world, we are reminded of the signs Jesus spoke of in Scripture (Matthew 24:6; Luke 21:25-28).
Our desire is to live ready for His return and to share the hope of the Gospel with others. As the prophet Amos declared, "Prepare to meet thy God" (Amos 4:12).
Our Mission
Our mission is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, make disciples, and help people grow in their relationship with God. We are passionate about reaching our community, strengthening families, building future generations, and continuing to grow as a church so that more lives can be transformed by the power of God.
